SOAKING IN DIVINE

An underpass slips out of the everyday and into Rhydian Vaughan’s unruly musical imagination. Rhythmic lighting, red and cyan washes and a haze-filled room turn a familiar route into a dream stage. At its centre are his guitar performance and a bench tableau, with a monkey-masked figure unsettling the scene’s apparent normality. The film lets music reorganise the surroundings, moving between stillness, physical release and an offbeat sense of threat. Its surreal details bring Vaughan’s uninhibited performance into a space where ordinary rules are momentarily suspended.
